Medela's newest rental pump is the Symphony. This rental pump uses biphasic technology that is very similar to the natural feeding rhythm of a baby.

When babies are hungry they have a single focus; "I want to be fed!" Usually this is stated in an unequivocal manner. Being hungry they suckle greedily(stimulation phase) but as their hunger begins to lessen they relax and suckle at a slower but deeper rate(expression phase). The Symphony pump is designed to mimic this natural rhythm by cycling in two phases.With this technology, Symphony is proven to reduce pumping time through faster let-down and milk flow and to remove as much milk as a breastfeeding baby.

 Of course the pump that statred it all is the Medela Classic. This is a hospital grade pump that has a single cycle motor. This pump is the gold standard of rental pumps and has been used by millions of mother's since it's introduction. The Classic is a powerful, reliable pump that will provide excellent service and reliability. Many women are comfortable with using the Classic from previous pregnancies and we are pleased to continue to offer this product to our customers.

The most economical pump in the Medela Rental line is the Lactina Select. This is the second rental pump that Medela introduced after the Classic. It is a lighter pump with an adjustable vacuum control and an adjustable speed control. You can achieve two cycle pumping with manual control using the Lactina Select Pump.
