Newton Timmermann Pharmacy has been serving the people of New York since 1869. We are an independent community pharmacy and we are proud of our heritage. A key to our success over the years has been to be a part of our neighborhood - Manhattan’s Upper Eastside.

NYC is universally recognized as one of the most fast-paced and dynamic cities in the world. Despite this reputation we have remained a community store. We are the corner drug store but a little bit more. In 1869 when our store was established there was no telephone, the typewriter had just been invented, radio and television were just dreams, computers and the internet simply could not be conceived.

Yet the appropriate product or service to support the healthcare needs of the local community were very much in demand, just like today. This blog is our way of offering our advice and services to the wider community available to us through modern communication technology.
